How can I help you?

After forty years working for museums, contemporary art centers, and college art galleries, David S. Rubin entered semi-retirement in 2014, but he has by no means been idle.  For the past decade, he has organized several exhibitions as an independent curator and published numerous articles and reviews for a variety of contemporary art publications.  Rubin now offers his services as a curator and writer for arts institutions, galleries and individual artists.

CURATORIAL PROJECTS

Having organized hundreds of exhibitions over the years, Rubin is available to take on curatorial assignments for smaller institutions or organizations.  He is currently working in that capacity with Carole Sorell, Inc. and has recently curated exhibitions featuring work by Salvador Dalí, David “LEBO” LeBatard, Marcel Mouly, Itczhak Tarkay, and Mark Kostabi.

ART WRITING

Rubin is a seasoned, prolific writer and he is available to produce or assist with multiple forms of art writing, including but not limited to catalog essays, artist statements, wall texts and label copy for exhibitions, and grant narratives.  He is also available to edit written materials in any of these areas.
